aka Death Trip, 1967 / 1989) Directed by Rudolf Zehetgruber with Gianfranco
Parolini, West Germany / Italy / France / Hungary / Lebanon
Here's a real oddity:
"Soft Kill" was a 1989 home video release that took one of the movies
in the "Kommissar X" series and added shot-on-video nude scenes and
even altered the movie itself in spots by adding solarized video colors and herky-jerrky
motion effects to the film (presumably because of the LSD subplot) pretty much
ruining it. Still, as a bizarre kind of time capsule that shows the lengths some
video companies would go to sell their product, "Soft Kill" is kind
of interesting. But if you are looking for an un-altered version of this movie
you might wanna hold off. Tony Kendall is Jo Louis Walker alias 'Kommissar X'
who must stop a terrorist plot to contaminate the water supplies of all major
cities with LSD! Also starring Brad Harris as Captain Tom Rowland with Olga Schoberová
